FILTER LOADING
» Vanguard G5 EX filters are for use only with the
approved Vanguard G5 EX PAPR blower system.
» The pre-filter and particle / combined filter must be
used together.
» Optional filter types are available for different work
requirements.
» Filters must be installed in the correct order: pre-filter,
then particle or combined filter.
» Ensure filters are correctly seated and the filter cover is
securely closed before use.
» The blower display provides a real-time filter loading
indication for the particle filter.
» When the filter becomes clogged, the device will flash
and activate audible and vibration alarms, alerting the
user to leave the contaminated area and replace the filter.
FILTER LIFE
» Filter life depends on contaminant type, usage time, airflow rate,
filter loading, particle concentration, gas/vapour exposure and
environmental conditions.
» Replace filters if they are dirty, wet, damaged, clogged or have
exceeded their service life.
» Filters cannot be cleaned.
» Do not clean filters by tapping, knocking or blowing air
through them.
» The particle filter indicator monitors the condition of the particle
filter only and does not indicate the remaining service life of
combined gas filters.
» Leave the work area immediately if contaminants can be smelt
or tasted and change the filter.
